TCN break silence on collapse of national grid
TCN, Nigeria’s transmission company, has stated that it has restored the national grid, which had collapsed earlier on Monday.
The grid was claimed to have failed at approximately 1.49 p.m. on Monday.
TCN, on the other hand, stated that everything was back to normal after restoring the grid and electricity to most of the country, with the exception of the Jos axis.
For Jos in Plateau State, where power has yet to be restored, TCN promised that things would return to normal within one hour of delivering the announcement.
“The grid experienced a collapse today. Presently, supply has been restored except for the Jos axis, which will soon have supply within the hour.
“The collapse happened by 1.49 pm on Tuesday and it is now fully restored,” Mbah said in the statement.
