Troops neutralise four Boko Haram terrorists in Borno
Sector 3 Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) troops stated they killed four Boko Haram militants in Malam Fatori, northernmost town of Borno State, on Friday.
Lt. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, the MNJTF’s Chief Military Public Information Officer, said this in a statement issued in Maiduguri.
According to Abdullahi, the terrorists were slain in the villages of Walo (Gashigar) and Kudagurgu.
According to him, when troops proceeded to Gashigar to clear the remaining Boko Haram fighters, they confronted and killed two terrorists near Walo Walada.
He also stated that 29 rounds of 7.62-millimeter special ammunition, three magazines, and AK-47 rifles were recovered during the operation.
“Similarly, troops deployed in Malam Fatori conducted a fighting patrol to Kudagurgu, where two other terrorists were neutralised, and a significant cache of items, including IED-making materials, one AK-47 rifle, and three magazines, were recovered,” the statement affirmed.
He added that the MNJTF remains resolute in its commitment to achieve its mandate in Nigeria.
