Troops neutralize three bandits in Taraba
Troops from the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade have neutralised three known bandits in Taraba’s Karim Lamido Local Government Area.
This is according to a statement signed by the brigade’s Public Relations Officer, Lt. Olabodunde Oni, in Jalingo on Thursday.
He added that the successful raid resulted in the recovery of two AK-47 guns, a motorcycle used by the thieves, and a cache of 40 rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition.
The public relations officer revealed that the operation took place in Chibi, where troops used actionable intelligence to launch a precision strike against the offenders.
According to him, the engagement displays the forces’ persistent dedication to preserving peace and security in Taraba.
The announcement also stated that Commander 6 Brigade, Brig.-Gen. Kingsley Uwa, praised the troops for their bravery and effectiveness in carrying out the mission.
Oni further stated that the Brigade Commander emphasized the military’s intention to clear the state of criminals while ensuring the safety and well-being of the local populace.
