Truck, car collision claims five lives in Ogun

On Sunday morning, a Mack truck and a Honda Accord automobile collided in Ogun, killing five people.
According to the Federal Road Safety, seven male adults and one female adult were engaged in the incident, which occurred at 6 a.m. near the Ososa junction of the Lagos-Benin highway.
“One person was injured and five people were killed, four male adults and one female adult, while two people were unharmed,” said Florence Okpe, FRSC spokesman in Ogun.
Okpe blamed the disaster on speeding and improper passing on the part of the Honda automobile, which she said collided with the truck on the side.
Okpe stated that the injured victim was transferred to the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode, while the deceased were deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.
