Two senior Boko Haram commanders surrender to Military in Borno
Khaid Malam Ali and Bunu Umar, two prominent members of the Boko Haram, also known as the Jam’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihd, in Borno, have submitted to the forces of Operation Hadin Kai of the Nigerian military.
According to reports, on July 5, 2023, the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists drove Ali and his fighters from their Boko Haram hideouts in Bula Alhaji Garwaye, a village on the outskirts of Sambisa Forest, close to Bama LGA.
According to DAILY POST, ISWAP slaughtered a large number of Boko Haram fighters, including their families.
Ali was a terrorist commander in Sabil Huda and Njumia until he gave up the fight out of concern for his death on the battlefield.
After preparing a raid on the Boko Haram hideouts in Bula Alhaji Garwaye in the fingers of Sambisa Near Bama LGA on July 5, 2023, he and his fighters reportedly had ISWAP drive them from their strongholds.
Several Boko Haram fighters reportedly died, along with their spouses and children.
