Young keke rider returns missing N15 million to passenger, gets N400,00 reward in Kano

Auwalu Salisu, a 22-year-old tricycle rider, has recovered N15 million that was forgotten by a passenger who travelled from Chad to buy things in Kano.

According to the Daily Trust, Salisu, a resident of Yankaba in the Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state capital, returned the money after hearing about it on a radio station in Kano.

When converted, N15 million consists of 10.130 million CFA and N2.9 million.

The kind Samaritan told Arewa Radio in Kano that he didn’t realize his passenger had forgotten the money until he arrived home.

“I took the man from Badawa to Bata. I went back there after informing my parents.”

“When I reached there, I didn’t meet him and I kept searching.”

“I went back home & gave the money to my mother who kept it inside her wardrobe.

I was afraid because I was eager to hand over the money back to the owner.”

“I had no intention to touch a penny.”
