Zamfara: Families of deceased officers receives N7.1m cheque from police

On behalf of the acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Zamfara State Police Commissioner Mohammed Bunu handed checks totaling N7.1m (seven million, one hundred thousand Naira) to 14 relatives of police officers who passed away while on duty.

The checks came from the Force’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) family welfare insurance programs.

When handing out the checks, Bunu thanked the Ag IGP for his thoughtful action and urged the families of the slain policemen to put the money to good use.

Miss Mosunmola Apata and Mr. Ayuba Bassi, two of the recipients, thanked the Acting IGP and the State Police Command for their support and gave the command assurances that the money would be used wisely in their remarks on behalf of the other beneficiaries.
