Zamfara Police vows to rescue four abducted female students

According to the Zamfara State Police Command, every effort is being made to secure the release of the four female students who were kidnapped in the State between Birinin Magaji and Laura Namoda Road.
According to Platinum Times Nigeria, the forced marriage of the female students in the community of their kidnappers is a possibility.
The female students were pleading for help from the Zamfara State Government and the wider public in a two-minute, 29-second video tape that the bandits published on Sunday before forcing them into marriage.
All of the female students wearing hijabs in the video footage said that they were facing the possibility of forced marriage because they had declined to pay the N12 million ransom requested by their captors for their release.
The names of the female students who were abducted six months ago were Aisha Yahaya, Jamila Yahaya, Ummu Sani, and Hauwa Garba.
Yazid Abubakar, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, stated that the police were making every effort to free the abducted victims.
“We have started a rescue operation and by the grace of God, we will do our best to get the female students rescued,” he added.
