2027: I’m ready to lead merger against Tinubu, APC – Atiku
......believes that Nigeria can only be saved by a unified opposition force. ...congratulates the governors of the opposition party and PDP on their Supreme Court win.

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate for 2023, has stated his desire to build an opposition alliance that would overthrow the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is in power, by 2027.
In a congrats to the PDP governors, whose elections were affirmed by the Supreme Court on Friday, he stated this.
He hailed the court’s ruling as a victory for constitutional democracy and good news for the people of Bauchi, Plateau, Cross River, and Zamfara states in a statement issued by his Abuja media office.
In addition, the PDP presidential candidate commended New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) governor of Kano State, Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf, while restating his belief that Nigerian democracy can only be strengthened by a unified opposition.
Atiku was quoted as saying,
“I am as prepared as ever to lead the charge, alongside all our leaders and governors, for the good of our country.”
According to him,
“Where justice is seen to have been substantially rendered, we, as patriots and citizens, will always applaud.”
In addition, Atiku stated that “there is a guaranteed continuation of the standards of good governance that the PDP has brought to the respective states” based on the ruling of the supreme court.
He pleaded with the respective PDP governors—Barr. Caleb Muftwang of the Plateau, Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, and Bala Mohammed of Bauchi—to use their Supreme Court victories as a chance to build upon and broaden the scope of the good governance they have already established.
With the electioneering phase completed, Atiku stated that he is confident the PDP, led by his modest self and the party’s capable governors, will be able to concentrate on its duty as the main opposition party in the nation.
