22 Appeal Court Justices nominated for elevation to Supreme Court (Full List)

The National Judicial Council, NJC, has received a list of 22 Justices of the Court of Appeal nominated by the Federal Judicial Service Commission, FJSC, for elevation to the Supreme Court.

On Thursday, the identities of the nominees, who come from diverse parts of the country, were released in a FJSC document.

The North-Central region has six nominations, while the South-West and South-South regions each have two. The South-East area has six nominees, while the North-East has two.

Following the retirement of judges Amina Augie and Mohammed Datijo, the Supreme Court now has only ten serving judges.
