Veteran Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor has reportedly died after a prolonged battle with kidney failure.

Here are few things to know about him

  1. Amaechi Muonagor is a native of Obosi, Idemili in Anambra State, Nigeria.
  2. He was born on 20th August, 1962 and died on 24th March, 2024.
  3. He attended St. Mary’s Primary School, Obosi, Oraifite Grammar School before he bagged a degree in economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in 1987.
  4. He was a newscaster at the News Agency of Nigeria (NANS) before venturing into acting.
  5. He first featured as an actor in the movie Taboo 1 where he portrayed the character of Akunatakasi.
  6. Some movies he has acted includes;
    Karishika, Igodo, Aki na Ukwa, His Last Action, Sincerity, Without Goodbye, Most Wanted Kidnappers, Jack and Jill, Village Rascal etc.
  7. He was nominated in 2016 as a Best Actor in a comedy at the African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA).
  8. He died after a prolonged illness of kidney failure on March 24, 2024.
