In Niger State, an alleged kidnapper was set on fire.
In the Niger State locale of Lapai Local Government Area, he was charged with kidnapping two kids.
The culprit, whose name is now unknown, was accosted by some locals when he was transporting the kids to an unidentified location, according to Platinum Times.
As he was unable to provide any convincing answers, the locals surrounded him and battered him until he fell unconscious.
Later, the crowd doused the dead man’s body with gasoline before setting him ablaze.
In a video, some kids were seen taking part in the jungle justice.
When reached, Abiodun Wasiu, the State police command’s spokesperson, confirmed the occurrence.
He said,
“when the police arrived at the scene, the mob had dispersed but they were able to evacuate the burnt body to the hospital; the police will arrest the culprits.”
