23 alleged online fraudsters have been detained by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Makurdi Zonal Command.
In Makurdi, Benue State, the accused were apprehended during a sting operation.
David Uvaa, Patrick Adakole, Cyprian Aloo, Michael Anaambe, Okti Clinton, Ibi Raphael, Anaambe George, Msaasha John, Oche Edache, Anaker Terpase, Tanko Japhet, and Ayalgo Lorfa were named as the victims.
Success Terzungwe, Suursuter Isaiah, Lawani Peter, Paul Adewa, Jacob Paul, Ibi Shedrack, Iorkosu Michael, Shiedu Leonard, Terseer Mnenge, Ikyorna Raphael, and Igba Ngutor are some of the other individuals.
Items seized from them, according to a post on the Commission’s Twitter page, include various mobile phones and a Toyota Corolla automobile.
The suspects have provided helpful statements, according to the anti-graft agency, and they will be charged with a crime as soon as the inquiry is over.
