The nine-time African champions are now ranked 32nd in the world.
The Super Falcons’ ascent is a result of their outstanding performance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.
The Nigerian women were undefeated in group play after defeating co-hosts Australia 3-2 and holding Olympic winners Canada to a scoreless draw.
The Three Lionesses of England defeated The Super Falcons in the round of 16 4-2 on penalties.
They continue to be the best team in Africa.
The top five teams on the continent are made up of South Africa, Cameroon, Morocco, and Ghana.
On December 15, 2023, the next FIFA/Coca-Cola women’s world ranking will be released.
