CAF Champions League: Enyimba bows out after draw against Al-Ahly Benghazi

After playing Libya’s Al-Ahly Benghazi to a scoreless draw in Aba on Sunday, Nigeria’s Enyimba were ousted from the CAF Champions League.
With a combined score of 4-3, the Libyans prevailed.
After putting on a valiant performance in the first leg of the preliminary round match, Enyimba were the clear favorites to win the match.
The two-time African champions’ wastefulness in front of goal, though, let them down.
The one goal that would have guaranteed Finidi George’s team a spot in the second round was not scored.
The opposition put up a valiant defensive effort to prevent Enyimba from scoring the crucial goal.
The other Nigerian team competing in the tournament, Remo Stars, will face Medeama SC of Ghana.
