The All Progressives Congress (APC) national leadership has established the National Campaign Council for the November 11 governorship election in Imo State.
The APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, stated on Saturday during the inauguration at Ndubuisi Kanu Square in Owerri, the Imo state capital, that the party was fully prepared to support Governor Hope Uzodimma’s re-election bid.
The APC governorship candidate remains the favorite in the Imo governorship race.
He also stated that if re-elected, his administration would do more than his previous term.
Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, the Director General of the Imo State National Campaign Council, backed up the governor’s position.
Ganduje, who inaugurated the campaign council members, stated that the APC has what it takes to win the November 11 governorship election.
The APC chairman also assured that the party’s national leadership and President Bola Tinubu’s government would give Uzodimma and the APC in the state all the support they needed to win the election.
With the establishment of the campaign council, the APC stated that a rigorous campaign could begin across the state’s 27 local government districts.
