The appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Saidu Umar, challenging the win of the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Ahmad Aliyu, in the March 18 governorship election in the state has been dismissed by the Sokoto State Governorship Election appeal Tribunal.
The petitioners failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt, according to the panel.
