BREAKING: Gov. Abba Yusuf approves N20,000 stipend to all schoolgirls in Kano
Kano State has offered a N20,000 stipend for every schoolgirl female in the state.
In his Independence Day address, Governor Abba Yusuf stated that the stipend is intended to encourage girls to attend school.
He indicated that the trial project would assist approximately 45,000 schoolgirls.

“To support girls-child education and encourage parents to send their daughters to school, we are issuing a stipend of N20,000 to over 45,000 girl-child as a pilot scheme to support them to continue schooling.
“We are also re-introducing the girl-child school buses to transport them to and from schools,” the Governor said.
