Key notes of Atiku Lawyer’s revelation about Tinubu CSU certificate
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for president in the 2023 general election, held a global press conference on Thursday.
Atiku, who lost the election to Tinubu, had contested Tinubu’s victory in court.
The former vice president was unsuccessful in the Presidential Tribunal but persisted in his appeal before a US court, which ultimately ordered the release of government records to support his Supreme Court appeal.
He had contended that Tinubu should not have been allowed to run for office because of errors in the Chicago State University (CSU) certificate Tinubu submitted to the INEC.
In response to inquiries from journalists, Atiku’s attorney, Kalu Kalu, made the following charges, which are detailed below:
— Tinubu falsified the CSU certificate that was sent to INEC.
— He applied to CSU using a Southwest College Certificate that lists ‘Female’ as the gender.
— His CSU application states that he attended Govt College and graduated in 1970, despite the fact that the institution was just founded in 1974.
– The application materials for CSU were submitted on behalf of a black American female.
— Tinubu claimed not to have a second citizenship on his INEC application, hence he cannot be the owner of the admission letter.
— According to the records, Bola A Tinubu’s initial “A” is “Ahmed,” but it is “Adekunle” on the NYSC certificate he submitted.
— If the conditions are satisfied, and Atiku has, the Supreme Court may accept additional evidence.
