NDDC Board: Tinubu seeks Reps confirmation of appointees

President Bola Tinubu has asked the House of Representatives to approve his nominations for the chairman and members of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) executive board.

The President’s request was made in a letter that was sent to Tajudeen Abbas, the Speaker of the House, and read aloud during Tuesday’s plenary in Abuja.

In the letter, the President noted: “The section indicated that the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces will appoint the board and management of NDDC. However, this is contingent on Senate confirmation after consultation with the House of Representatives.

“In compliance with the provisions of Section 2(2) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (Establishment, etc.) Act, I am pleased to present the underlisted seventeen (17) nominees for the consideration of the House of Representatives. This is for the positions of chairman and members of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission.”
