AFCON 2023: CAF unveils official match ball
The official playing ball for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations has been unveiled by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The official match ball bears Laurent Pokou’s name, a great forward from Ivory Coast.
The announcement marks yet another significant turning point in the competition’s buildup.
White, orange, and green are the three primary colors of the Cote d’Ivoire flag, and the official ball, POKOU, incorporates the most recent technology that will revolutionize the sport on the continent and beyond.
The 2023 AFCON will take place in the cities of Abidjan, Bouaké, Korhogo, San Pedro, and Yamoussoukro from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
On January 13, the Alhassan Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe will host the inaugural match between the host Cote d’Ivoire and the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.
