President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appointment of Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, as a minister of the Federal Capital Territory has been acknowledged by the Governors Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party.
In the wake of the political unrest that rocked the Rivers State Government House on Wednesday, the PDP Governors Forum made a courtesy call to the Minister of the Federal Capital.
Speaking after the meeting, former FCT Minister and forum chairman Bala Mohammed praised Tinubu for choosing Wike despite being in the opposition.
According to him,
“At the risk of being accused of flattery, we really appreciate Mr President and Nyesom Wike. Again, giving him this office at the FCT, which is like a state, in spite of the fact that he is still one of us as a PDP member, has shown the kind of leadership that Mr President has.”
