Soucek seals thrilling 3-2 Win for West Ham over Nottingham Forest

West Ham came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 in a thrilling match at the London Stadium.

The hosts broke the deadlock inside three minutes when Paqueta made the most of a loose past from Dominguez to drive a low shot into the bottom corner.

Areola denied Awoniyi’s header from close range but could do nothing about Forest’s leveller.

Gibbs-white got the better of Emerson on the right before having his shot saved, but Awoniyi tapped in the rebound.

There were then two goals inside 123 seconds. Elanga directed Aina’s cutback into the corner to give Cooper’s side the lead, only for Bowen to equalize soon after. He got on the top corner.

Soucek crashed the bar and forced a smart stop out of Vlachodimos before scoring the winner.

Ward-Prowse delivered another pinpoint corner, with Soucek’s downward header beating the goalkeeper.

After the international break, West Ham head to Burnley in the Premier League.
