JUST IN: EFCC to drag NAF personnel to Court
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has stated that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel arrested on Friday in Kaduna State will be charged in court once the investigation is completed.
According to Platinum Times, some military members assaulted the EFCC Kaduna Command on Friday in an attempt to liberate several arrested fraudsters.
The two security agencies’ personnel had battled at the command, resulting in the arrest and detention of NAF officers.
However, they were released on administrative bail just hours after being arrested.
Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, said in a statement on Saturday that the officers were “released to their Service in strict adherence to the Commission’s bail procedures.”
“The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, personnel released on administrative bail by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, November 17, 2023, will be charged to court at the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.
“The Commission reiterates the fact that no one is above the law and due process will be followed in bringing the case to a conclusion”.
