Methods for removing a private number from your phone

Private numbers or hidden numbers are calls that goes through but the caller’s identify is concealed.

Private numbers can be very annoying and disheartening as the opposite ends may just be talking to themselvesike shadows.

These numbers are sometimes used by the telecommunication providers to avoid the numbers from being easily traced.

Over the years, scammers have usurped this opportunity for their selfish gains andvto enrich their pockets by defrauding people of huge sums of money and other cyber vices.

Here’s a little tip on how to disclose your hidden caller ID and also hide yours from your receiver.

To enable caller or hide your number from your recipient.

Simply dial #31#the number you intend to call. E.g #31#023547832

To find out who your hidden caller is;

 

  • Just make sure your network connection is stable and secured.
  • Go to Google play store and install the  Truecaller app.
  • When a private number calls, just keep the the connectivity on and Truecaller will search for the identity of your caller and display it on your phone screen.

Tips to remove the private number from your phone

  • Open your phone, click on the “phone” icon which contains your call log
  • You will find a “setting” option with three vertical dotted lines, click on it.
  • After the setting, click on options then click on the “calling accounts.”
  • Another option appears, showing your two sims. Click on the preferred sim you want to disable the private number.
  • After you have clicked on the sim, you will see another menu for “additional settings”.
  • On the additional setting, locate and click on “caller ID
  • Finally, locate and click on “Network default” or “Show number”
