BREAKING: S’Court reserves judgments in Rhodes-Vivour, Jador cases against Sanwo-Olu

On Tuesday, December 19, the Supreme Court reserved decision in two appeals brought by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, candidate of the Labour Party (LP), and Azeez Adediran, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), against the election of Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The appeals by Rhodes-Vivour and Adeniran are against previous rulings of the Lagos Court of Appeal, which upheld two decisions of the election tribunal that dismissed their petition contesting Sanwo-Olu’s victory in the 2016 governorship election.

A five-member Supreme Court panel presided over by Justice John Okoro advised parties that they will be notified when the verdicts were available.

The court session was attended by the deputy governor, Femi Hamzat, the Secretary to the State Government, Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, and other senior Lagos State Government officials.
