President Bola Tinubu has signed the N28.78 trillion Appropriation Bill for 2024 into law.
President Tinubu, who arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja at exactly 2 p.m., went straight to the quick budget signing event, accompanied by key government officials.
The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Tajudeen Abbas, were both present at the budget signing.
Mr Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy; Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning; and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser (NSA), were also present.
The President’s Chief of Staff, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, was also there, as was the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, and the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Olamilekan Adeola.
