AFCON 2023: CBN delay payments of Super Eagles bonuses, allowances

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has failed to receive funds for the payment of Super Eagles incentives and allowances during the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The federal government approved the funds prior to the start of the competition.

According to SCORENigeria, the NFF has yet to receive a payment from the CBN.

Each participant is entitled to a $5,000 incentive for a win, and the camp allowance is $200 per player each day.

The players will be paid $12,500 each for their two victories and tie in the group round.

On Saturday (today), the Super Eagles will face perennial rivals Cameroon in the Round of 16 at Abidjan’s Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium.
