Unknown gunmen killed four people in Nkienzha village, Miango District, Irigwe Chiefdom of Bassa local government region, Plateau State.
According to Platinum Times, the gunmen attacked the village at 11 p.m. on Sunday, setting fire to a house and killing the four occupants.
According to a statement signed by Davidson Malison, the outgoing National Publicity Secretary of the Irigwe Development Association (IDA) and made available to journalists, one individual was harmed.
The statement went on to say that the leadership of the Irigwe Nation has described the return of attacks and killings as callous and inhumane, adding that the culprits must immediately put an end to the mayhem in the land.
The group urged security officials to ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous act were apprehended and convicted swiftly.
