Graphic Photo: Angry mob sets alleged kidnapper ablaze in Delta

A mob has set a suspected kidnapper on fire in Alihame, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State.

According to reports, the Alihame Vigilante Group apprehended approximately nine alleged kidnappers on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at an unfinished structure near the Oriri axis in Agbor-Obi, after receiving a distress call from a resident in the neighborhood.

The tragedy drew locals from all across Alihame to Board Road. The AVG immediately notified police.

While police were transporting them to the station, the mob grabbed one of them and dragged him out of the police vehicle.

The suspected kidnapper collapsed and struck his head on the asphalt road.

As blood poured from his head, the mob surrounded him and burnt him on fire before the AVG and police officers could react.

Meanwhile, six weapons, ammo, daggers, phones, and various sizes of clothing were discovered from the accused kidnappers.

The exhibits and the remaining suspects were turned over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
