Gunmen kill another POS operator in Ebonyi
Mr Louis Enoshi, a point of sale (POS) operator from Umuogudu Akpu Ngbo in Ebonyi State’s Ohaukwu Local Government Area, was shot and killed by unknown assailants.
A reliable source in the area told Platinum Times over the phone that unidentified armed individuals raided the deceased’s residence in Ezzamgbo about 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, demanding cash and shooting him dead.
According to reports, the gunmen stole the victim’s cell phone, cash, and POS devices.
“At the early hours of today, 28th February 2024, at about 2 am; Mr. Enoshi Louis, a native of Ndiagu Orie of Umuogudu Akpu Ngbo, was shot in his resident at Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu LGA; Ebonyi State, by unidentified armed persons.
“He died on the spot, they made away with his Firstmonie POS machines, physical cash and phones. Leaving the wife who is pregnant with two kids devastated”.
Ohaukwu Local Government has become a home for insecurity, killings and destruction of lives and property in recent times.
Meanwhile, the Ebonyi State Police Command is yet to react at the time of filing this report. Calls placed to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Joshua Ukandu did not go through.
