Davido’s Logistics Manager, Israel Afeare, also known as Israel DMW, has disclosed that his former wife, Sheila, only paid N1,000 to him as a bride price refund despite spending more than N2 million on their wedding.
He asserted this in response to his ex-wife’s claim that she had refunded the bride fee.
In an Instagram live video with prominent media personality Daddy Freeze, Israel DMW said that his ex-wife sent the N1,000 by bank transfer.
He claimed that the bride price should be refunded to his family because he did not make the payment directly.
Meanwhile, Israel DMW encouraged his ex-wife to return his bride money in a “proper way.”
He insisted that only the Federal High Court could end their marriage.
On his Instagram story, he wrote: “Kindly return my bride price in a proper way. You can’t transfer it directly to me through an alert. I was never the one who paid it directly. My family did, and it was directly by hand. We married under the acts, and it is only a Federal High Court, who has the statutory powers to get it dissolved after 2 years.”
