Platinum Times Nigeria reports that mayhem enveloped the Okpanam Road axis and Midwifery in Asaba, Delta State’s capital, on Monday.
Police were firing into the air as a group of motorbike riders blocked the road.

In response to the flurry of questions about what was going on in Asaba, Bright Edafe, the state Police Public Relations Officer, told X that the cops were dispatched to suppress a protest against a state task force.
He wrote, “They are policemen deployed to quell an ongoing protest against one of the State taskforce in Asaba.”
The protesters reportedly stormed the street after taskforce member allegedly killed a motorcycle rider.
