Declan Rice: Arsenal submit fresh offer worth up to £105m

Declan Rice of West Ham has received an upgraded bid from Arsenal that may be worth up to £105 million.

The offer consists of a £100 million base price plus an additional £5 million in add-ons, which Arsenal hopes will deter rival Manchester City.

If the deal goes through, it will be a record sum for a British player.

Earlier this month, West Ham rejected an offer from Arsenal that would have set a club record and might have cost up to £90 million (£75 million plus £15 million in add-ons).

Attempts by Arsenal to land Mikel Arteta’s main summer aim have now increased.

However, West Ham chairman David Sullivan stated that he anticipated the England international to have played his final match for the team and that he “wanted to go” following the club’s victory in the Europa Conference League.

Since making his West Ham debut in 2017, Rice has appeared in 245 matches for the club.
