Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists trying to enter Nigeria via the Cameroon border have been neutralized by Nigerian military personnel assigned to Operation HADIN KAI in the North East.
According to the Military High Command, five terrorists were shot dead after an ambush along Bula Yobe-Darel Jamel in Borno State’s Bama Local Government Area was reported by intelligence.
No fewer than 10 terrorists were reportedly caught alive, according to Maj.-Gen. ES Buba, the recently appointed Director of Defence Media Operations, who made this announcement at Defense Headquarters in Abuja.
Brig.-Gen. Abdullahi Ibrahim, who served as Buba’s deputy at the briefing, informed the media that their accomplices had also been detained while stating that they had seized weapons, ammunition, and other supplies from them.
