Prior to the implementation of this system, the majority of applicants who had a strong chance of being accepted into universities were ultimately passed over in favor of applicants who did not meet the requirements, giving those who did not qualify the chance to be admitted to an institution while leaving those who did.
Because of this, JAMB developed the automated “Central Admission Processing System (CAPS),” which is used to administer the exam.

Checking of admissions status
All you have to do to check your admission status is log onto the JAMB Central Admission System Portal and click the “check admission status” button on the device’s left side.
The JAMB Central Admissions Processing System allows applicants to easily monitor the progress of their admission on their phones.
If you are given permission to enter, the “accept” and “reject” buttons will turn on, and you can then decide whether to accept or reject.
If you accept admission, you won’t be taken into account for admission to any other institution.
On the other hand, if you reject, your name will show up on the CAPS market.
This means that other colleges that are recruiting may provide you the opportunity to be considered for admission.
Checking of profile
Additionally, you can utilize JAMB’s central admission management system to verify and review your information.
Information about you is included in your profile, including your name, birthday, gender, and UTME score.
To view your profile, click the “my profile” option that is situated between the bars on the left side of your device.
In order to prevent the admissions process from being delayed, you are urged to attend a CBT center authorized by JAMB to correct any incorrect information you find after carefully reading the instructions.
Confirmation of O level results
Many candidates use the Anticipated Result (A/R) when registering for the JAMB UTME/DE, and occasionally they forget to go back and upload the result after seeing it.
To check if you have uploaded your O’ level results to UTME CAPS, click the “o’ level” tab, which is located on the left side.
Your score, exam number, exam year, and exam type (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) will all be displayed when you click on it.
After checking, if any of the aforementioned materials are absent, you must go to a CBT facility that has been authorized by JAMB in order to re-enter.

JAMB will publicize your availability if your application has not yet been approved or denied so that other institutions might consider you for admission.
But if you accept your admission, no institution will be able to take you on because your name won’t be available on the market anymore.

Most candidates don’t meet the requirements for a special study visa.
The university evaluates them for the program based on the “Transfer Approval” indicator on your CAPS portal.

1. confirm that Google Chrome is being used;
2. Pull up the red arrow or three dots in the upper-right corner of the browser;
3. Choose “desktop site” next;
5. You must log in using the email address and password you used to register for JAMB;
6. Following your successful entry, a number of pages will appear;
7. Navigate to the page marked “Check admission Status”;
8. After that, choose “access my Caps”;
9. At that point, you will have access to your JAMB CAPS dashboard.
