Elon Musk launches new Twitter logo ‘X’ to oust blue bird symbol

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has introduced a new logo for the social media site.
The original Twitter blue bird icon has been replaced with a white “X” on a black background.
The new design was unveiled by Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino, who tweeted: “X is here! Let’s proceed.
The company’s offices in San Francisco were also shown with the logo projected on them in another tweet.
Elon Musk added in another tweet, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
The blue bird is still discernible across the network, but the X logo was featured on Musk and the CEO of Twitter’s usernames.
“#GoodbyeTwitter”—a nod to the previous logo—was trending on the website as users criticized the new X.
