Justice Chima Centus Nweze of Supreme Court reportedly dies

Justice Chima Centus (CC) Nweze of the Supreme Court of Nigeria has reportedly passed away.
The 64-year-old Justice Nweze passed away on Sunday, according to DAILY POST.
As at the time this news was filed, the Supreme Court had not yet confirmed his passing.
As previously reported by DAILY POST, Justice Nwaeze proclaimed Emeka Ihedioha of the People Democratic Party, or PDP, the victor of the 2019 governorship election in Imo State in a dissenting ruling in 2020.
The controversial Supreme Court decision declaring Ahmad Lawan, the former Senate President, as the legitimate All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the Yobe North Senatorial District for the 25 February general election was also delivered by Nweze in a three-to-two split decision.
On September 25, 1958, Justice Nweze was born in Obollo, Udenu Local Government Area, Enugu State.
Nweze’s appointment to the supreme court was recommended by the National Judicial Council (NJC) in 2014, and it was confirmed by the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan.
