For sake of peace in Nigeria, dont clear El-rufai – Shehu Sani urges Senate
A socio-political analyst Shehu Sani has recommended the Senate not to confirm Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State to the position of minister.
Sani cautioned against clearing El-Rufai if Nigeria wants peace to last.
Sani claimed that El-Rufai was at the mercy of the Senate and that the previous governor had been playing god while he was in office.
He labeled the former governor as a zealot and a religious extremist in a tweet.
According to Sani:
“The Unconfirmed Ministerial nominee; The Imp who was intoxicated with power, and who arrogantly played God is now at the mercy of those wielding power.
“A religious extremist with a fanatical political agenda should have no place in the seat of power if that nation desires peace.”
The Senate had refused to confirm El-Rufai alongside two others due to security issues.
