More goals to come Iheanacho – speaks on scoring for relegated Leicester
Kelechi Iheanacho, a forward for Leicester City, is committed to helping his team score more goals this year.
Iheanacho scored his first goal of the season in Wednesday night’s 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over Burton Albion for the Foxes.
After being set up by Marc Albrighton, the Nigerian international back footed the ball into the goal six minutes in.
After the game, the forward received another honor: Man of the Match.
“It’s a great feeling to score my first goal of the season. I wasn’t expecting the ball, so it was nice to see it go into the bottom corner, and hopefully there’s more goals to come,”he told the club’s official website.
“My back was to the goal, but we always work on finishing in training so that one might only come once in a while, but I’m happy I was able to take it and help the team as well.”
