Man 26′ arrested with human skull in Ondo
Franklin Akinyosuyi, 26, a suspect who was recently detained in Ondo State on suspicion of possessing a human skull, has said that he used to rub the skull with “black soap” before taking a bath.
Akinyosuyi, an alleged online fraudster who enjoys photography and owns a boutique, claimed that he chose to partake in rituals to help his faltering business.
The suspect, who was displayed at the state police command’s headquarters, claimed that a herbalist in Ikirun, Osun State, gave him the human head and the other fetish items in exchange for N200,000.
According to Platinum Times, Akinyosuyi, who admitted to the murder, was detained last week when the human skull was found in his flat in the Elewuro neighborhood of Ondo town, Ondo West Local Government Area.
According to the suspect, he only utilized the products for a month after his business did not take off as planned, and he was just going to throw them away when he was caught.
According to him:
“I am a photographer, and I own a boutique as well. It was last year that my uncle took me to a herbalist. I explained to him that my business wasn’t moving well, so he asked me to pay him N200,000 to make a concoction for me, which I paid within three weeks.
“After he was done, he called me to come pick it up, and that was last November. He directed that I should be bathing with the human head every Thursday at exactly 1 am. I used it for a month but didn’t see any difference in my business. So, I had to call the herbalist and tell him to refund my money.”
The police spokesperson in the state, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, while giving details of the case, said an evangelist and a herbalist had been arrested in connection with the crime.
“Interrogation and investigation led to the arrest of one Oyegoke Dare, an evangelist who gave the skull and other fetish materials to the suspect; one Oyelade Sarafa, an herbalist who also confessed to having helped procure the skull from one Asekun (a vigilante) in Ikirun, was also arrested. Two other suspects mentioned in connection with the case are currently at large,” she said.
