Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer analyst, has reported that winger Hakim Ziyech is close to signing with Galatasaray this summer.
Ziyech’s prospective transfer is nearing completion, according to Romano, who also noted that ‘all documentation are set’ for the Moroccan international to join Galatasaray as their marquee acquisition this month.
Ziyech is eager to move on from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
In January, the 30-year-old came very close to moving to Paris Saint-Germain, but the deal fell through for legal reasons.
Ziyech was the subject of a summer transfer agreement between Chelsea and Al-Nassr, but the move fell through when the Saudi Arabian club objected to the player’s physical.
However, according to Romano’s most recent report, Ziyech appears to be on his way to joining Galatasaray.
“Galatasaray & Chelsea consider Hakim Ziyech deal agreed. All documents are ready. #Galatasaray Just waiting for signature and then deal completed — Ziyech, expected to travel to Istanbul tonight,” Romano tweeted on Friday night.
Ziyech joined Chelsea from Ajax in 2020 for €40 million.
