Acting Governor Aiyedatiwa returns to Ondo

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the acting governor of Ondo State, visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja two days ago. On Wednesday, he returned to the state.
Aiyedatiwa has discussed the political impasse in Ondo State with the President and a few other key players.
APC leader and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Director of Corporate Affairs Ifedayo Abegunde welcomed the acting governor when he landed at Akure Airport aboard a commercial aircraft.
Shortly after the House of Assembly acknowledged receiving a letter from Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu transferring authority to him, he arrived in the state.
Akeredolu also stated in the letter that he will be starting a medical leave of absence.
Remember that calls for Aiyedatiwa to receive power in accordance with the constitution had caused political unrest in the state during the governor’s absence.
Members of the State Executive Council became divided as a result of the development, with some commissioners erecting tents beside Aiyedatiwa.
Additionally, it was claimed that certain officials were using forged signatures from the governor.
