Former Super Eagles goalie Vincent Enyeama has hinted that he may return to the team.
In a social media post, Enyeama stated that he will be in camp with Nigeria’s players and staff in preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
After more than a hundred outings, the 41-year-old announced his surprise retirement in 2015.
In subsequent interviews, Enyeama stated that he left the squad because he felt he was mistreated and disrespected.
Enyeama also claimed that he no longer watches Eagles games.
He could now be fit to rejoin the team ahead of their AFCON 2023 training camp in the United Arab Emirates.
Enyeama commented on a photo on the team’s AFCON preparations on the Super Eagles’ official Instagram account, writing;
“Let’s go, See you in camp. Time for business.”
