AFCON: NFF to clear Super Eagles’ unpaid 26-match bonuses

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, is prepared to pay the Super Eagles all overdue incentives and allowances.
The overdue allowances and incentives for 26 matches date back over three years, spanning the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to SCORENigeria, the unpaid payments were included in the Federal Government’s budget for the upcoming AFCON.
“All the bonuses and allowances pending for the team will now be cleared after this budget approval,” a Sports Ministry official told SCORENigeria.
“This will be a big incentive for the team leading up to the AFCON.”
The Super Eagles are currently preparing for the AFCON in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
