AFL: Despite losing to Wydad, Enyimba prepared to continue fighting

Enyimba, the defending Nigerian champions, lost on Sunday to Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco, but they’re not ready to give up.
On Sunday at the Godswil Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, the Red Castle defeated Finidi George’s team 1-0 in the first leg of their quarterfinal African Football League match.
Eight minutes before halftime, Yayha Jabrane, the captain of Wydad, scored the winning goal from the penalty spot.
After Somiari Alalibo was dismissed late in the game, Enyimba concluded the contest with 10 players.
In the rematch, the two-time African champions must score twice without giving up a goal in order to advance to the semifinals.
“We fight on,” Enyimba wrote on their official Facebook page with a team picture.
The second leg will hold this weekend at the Mohamed V Stadium, Casablanca.
