Musa Ille, the secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was assassinated by gunmen in Tsafe Local Government Area, Zamfara State, who are thought to be armed bandits.
The bandits shot Musa dead in front of his residence in Tsafe town on Monday evening.
The late Musa Ille was a grassroot politician who contributed immensely to the success of the party in the 2023 Election which produced Dauda Lawal as the state governor, TVC reports.
The incident is coming a few weeks after a PDP chieftain Shafiu Abubakar, alongside two others, were killed in Maradun Local government of the state.

Tsafe local government area is experiencing a resurgence of activities of armed bandits in recent times, but the government says it is not leaving any stone unturned to ensure peace returns to all troubled areas across the state.
