The All Progressives Congress, APC, National Campaign Council for the November 11 governorship election in Bayelsa State has announced that the party will win the election despite the disqualification of its candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva.
The council’s chairman, Inuwa Yahaya, the governor of Gombe State, made this statement to reporters in Yenagoa.
Assuring better coordination between the national leadership and the state chapter was the goal of the trip, according to Yahaya, who traveled to Bayelsa with members of the APC National Working Committee.
He asserted that the party’s choice was popular with the general public and qualified to manage the state given his background, education, and expertise.
The party’s official campaign launch has been postponed, according to Yahaya, in order to give the party time to make the necessary preparations for its meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A new date for the launch would be announced as soon as feasible, she added.
” We therefore use this medium to call on all our teeming supporters and well wishers to come out en masse for the campaign rallies,” he said.
