BREAKING: Heavy gun shots, houses set ablaze in Delta community, days after killing soldiers

The Okuama community in Delta State’s Ughelli South Local Government Area, where sixteen soldiers died, has been razed.

There are significant suspicions that some enraged soldiers committed the atrocity after their colleagues were killed.

Meanwhile, the manhunt for the killers continues, and some soldiers, commanded by Major General Jamal Abdussalam, General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army, have made arrests.

Residents of the seaside village are alleged to have fled to nearby Ughelli for fear of retaliation from military patrolling the creeks.
