Breaking: (Enugu) Supreme Court trashes APC’s appeal against Peter Mbah’s victory

The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal brought by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate Uche Nnaji and his party challenging Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the March 2023 governorship election in Enugu State.

In her decision, Justice Tijani Abubakar stated that the APC and Nnaji’s legal team filed an invalid brief of argument and failed to persuade the court with compelling reasons why the appellants’ incompetent brief should be admitted.

Justice Abubakar went on to say that because their brief was found to be defective, the invalidity also harmed the appeal in question.

He went on to dismiss Nnaji’s and the APC’s brief and appeal.
